Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure "I Pink I Can"

Happy Tuesday!! Sorry I haven't posted anything these last few days. I was busy all weekend and finally did my nails Sunday night, but I wasn't able to upload until today.

I painted my nails with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. It is a complete salon manicure because on the Sally Hansen website, it says that it has 5 steps in 1: Base Coat, Strengthener, Growth Treatment, Color, and Top Coat.

This line of nail polish has a wider brush and gathers a lot of nail polish. Due to the wide brush, it was difficult at first to paint my nails, however I got used to it by the third or fourth nail. I found the nail polish formula to be a bit thick, but the resulting color (after two coats) was very opaque, which I like!

Although the "inside lighting" picture shows the color to be a salmon-y peach/pink color, the actual color of the nail polish is displayed in the "outside lighting" picture. To me, the resulting color is like a strawberry, Barbie doll, medium pink color. Indoors, the nail color is like the "outside lighting",  but my camera changed the color a little bit when I was inside.

Essie East Hampton Cottage

This is my first nail polish review!

Today, I applied Essie East Hampton Cottage onto my nails. I used Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails as my base coat.

In the bottle, the color looks like a pastel off-white pinkish/beige color. But once you put it on, it is a complete different color!

For the first coat, it applied smoothly, but it was very sheer. I applied the second coat and it turned more opaque, but the nail is slightly visible underneath.

The final color turned out to be a pearlized off-white color. I honestly don't know how to describe it, but I liked it =)

Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails

Hello!

I have asked all of my friends what base coats they used for their nails before applying nail polish, but many have said that they didn't use any. Then, they wonder why nail polish stains their nails.

I am very simple when it comes to base coats. I have never used something that is labeled as a "base coat". When it comes to prepping my nails, I use Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails Nylon and Retinol Strengthener. It is originally a nail strengthener, which instructs users to apply 2-3 coats a day. As a strengthener, I think it does a nice job, however, I mostly use it as a base coat (as it does the job well in prepping my nails).

If you have any suggestions on what base coats to use, please let me know!

Welcome!

Welcome to my nail blog! =)

I enjoy painting my nails! Just to let you all know, I will be doing some reviews of nail polishes and will add pictures of the colors and occasional nail designs.

I know it is difficult finding nail polishes that suit everyone's skin color. I am warm-toned and have fair/light skin. Just thought this information could help out someone out there!

Ok see you all soon!
